A spacious and stylish family Kitchen in Woodbridge with a two tone finish
With a minimal and sophisticated feel, this two tone modern kitchen in Woodbridge combines both light and dark grey colours with high quality appliances and beautiful quartzstone surfaces.
Originally 2 separate rooms, the connecting wall was taken down to open up the area and create a spacious family kitchen with seating around the island unit and a traditional dining table.
“We had been to many companies for designs but Andrew was the only person who came up with a completely different idea for the layout. He thought outside of the box.”
A spacious island for preparation, cooking and dining was central to the design, with a Neff gas induction hob and extractor neatly concealed in the ceiling above.
We designed a bank of tall units with eye level ovens, warming drawer, larder fridge and a swivel larder unit offering ample storage space for kitchen essentials, all within easy reach of the island unit.
We included an L shaped run of units, wall to wall, with large pan drawers and bi folding wall units as an additional feature. The sink by Franke was placed centrally at the rear window with a high quality Perrin and Rowe tap.
Finishing touches to our design included a wine cellar, pull out bin, built in cutlery drawers, feature radiators and curved units and columns to soften the look.
“All the guys were fantastic and a pleasure to have in the house. We had extensive work done and there was a lot of upheaval for us as a family but the team were so accommodating and fitted temporary sinks and an induction hob to help us while the work was being done.
We are so pleased with the design and finished kitchen, my favorite feature is the colour scheme and the island unit and my husband loves the pull out larder system.
Its a lovely space to be in.”

Modern or traditional, classic or quirky? Where to begin when choosing your perfect kitchen style…
So, you are looking for a new kitchen but where do you begin when it comes to designing one of the most important rooms in your home and choosing your kitchen style? Your new kitchen is used by every member of your household for cooking, socialising and entertaining; for many the kitchen is the heart of their home.
When customers come to us and ask, what sort of kitchens do you make? Our answer is simple, we can make anything you like. Choose any wood, colour or finish, with our own workshop on site, the options are almost endless.
There are many things to consider when designing a new kitchen. One of best places to start is to look at choices of kitchen door styles, although we have no set ranges, we can separate kitchens into 3 key door styles.
Flat / Panel Door Kitchen
This type of door is most suited to modern or contemporary kitchens, giving a simple and minimal look and feel. These doors can be made of any type of wood or sprayed in any colour and finish, from a shiny high gloss effect through to a satin or matt finish.
Your choice of handles will also affect the overall look, from brushed steel pulls, pewter bar handles, or brass knobs there are a wide range of shapes, sizes and materials to choose from. Or for a completely sleek finish you could opt for a handleless push to open door, or a recessed handle design.
For additional interest, why not think about adding bi-folding doors or a tasteful mixture of wood and colours to add individuality to your modern kitchen. Think about your preference of straight angled edges or soft curves, both options are possible with this contemporary style of kitchen.
Shaker Door In Frame Kitchen
Often associated with country or traditional kitchen styles, the shaker door is a timeless option but it can also be carefully blended with modern touches to create a transitional kitchen style that is an elegant blend of traditional and contemporary.
Of all kitchen styles, the shaker is the most timeless and unlikely to go in and out of fashion. We can build in all types of wood or a hand painted kitchen is also popular and allows you the option of repainting in the future.
The shaker door is a handmade kitchen door with raised panels and can be fitted to the exterior of a cabinet or set within a frame. Features can be enhanced by adding beading details around the door or frame and shaker doors can be straight or curved, a great idea for your kitchen is to incorporate both to enhance and create stunning features.
Inset Frame Handleless Kitchen
For those looking for something completely different, we have evolved this modern flat panel door with a handle free design and set it within a frame.
Available in any colour or finish and can be combined with wooden, metal or glass in set handle features this style ticks the boxes of unique and contemporary.
These are just a few examples of the diversity of kitchen styles available, to see more examples of our work browse our gallery.
With all our kitchens the insides of your kitchen cabinets can be built in any type of wood or colour, to match or give a contrast against your choice of door. Remember that all kitchen styles can be tailored to your exact specification.
Traditional methods are employed during our onsite manufacture process where your custom made kitchen is carefully built by hand with features such as dove tail drawer boxes, soft close hinges and heavy load bearing drawer runners used as standard with all our installations.
Our showroom includes examples of all door styles and solid wood kitchen units and better still we can take you into the adjoining workshop to meet our highly skilled staff and see the techniques they employ.
So why not call in for a coffee and a chat to get some great ideas for your kitchen project.

Sleek and seamless modern corian kitchen transformation in Felixstowe, Suffolk
Our customer originally had a traditional country style kitchen with oak doors and black granite worktops but was looking to modernise and create a more contemporary feel to their kitchen. They wanted a central island unit and were looking to include two built in ovens side by side, integrated appliances and an induction hob.
We offer all styles of doors in any colour, wood or finish with many samples to see and feel in our showroom. Having discussed the options, our customer decided they liked the look of the flat door with a ‘j’ shape handle built in to keep the sleek style they were looking for. They opted for an off white/pale grey colour with a modern satin finish.
We discussed the pros and cons of different worktops and gave some samples to the customer to take away with them to help them decide.
The customer liked the look and feel of Corian which gives a hygienic and completely seamless work surface carrying through to the upstands, splashback and built in sink with a practical steel base.
They chose a tap by Franke in a silk steel finish to compliment this modern corian kitchen.
Storage was an important feature so the design included large pull out drawers providing plenty of space for plates, pans and kitchen utensils and with runners capable of holding weights of up to 40kg. All cupboards have high quality soft close hinges and the bi folding wall units provide additional storage in keeping with the overall contemporary style.
A concealed pull out sectioned bin and space saving LeMans pull out corner was included within the design to maximise storage space.
All lighting, electrical and plumbing work was also included.
As an authorised dealer of many leading brands, we discussed the product features available and our customer opted for Miele single oven with moisture plus and combination microwave oven with a warming drawer, a 5 zone induction hob, integrated larder fridge and dishwasher.
For extraction, a slimline Elica sleek white glass hood was chosen as this is discrete, simple and stylish from the underside and again adds to the modern feel
“I love the design of my kitchen, it’s well thought out and makes the best use of the space in the room. Andrew is very knowledgable and clearly enjoys what he does, everything was thought about and planned for so that there were no hidden expenses later down the line. He really listened to me and understood what I was trying to achieve and gave me lots of ideas and practical advice.
I cannot fault the team who installed the kitchen, they were all friendly and professional and did a fantastic job. The fit went really smoothly and I always felt at ease with everyone and that nothing was ever too much trouble.
I am so happy with our kitchen, I would definitely recommend the team at Debenvale.”
